See what a physical
model can explain.

These are photographs of our printed scaffolding model and components. Use them as a starting point for a conversation about your own project.

I need something like this

You bring the idea.
We help define the model.

Choose the closest starting point. You do not need to know the printing process or material yet.

01 /

“I have an idea.”

Tell us what you want to show, teach or test. A rough sketch or reference photo is a useful first step.

Discuss my idea
02 /

“I have a 3D file.”

We can review your file, size and quantity to assess whether it is suitable for our printing process.

Ask about my file

Plan my model

Show the detail.
Explain the function.

A physical model can make an assembly easier to understand. Depending on the brief, it may include separate parts, a hinged section, colour-coded components or a display base.

This design illustration shows the hinged access platform in our scaffolding model work. The photographs above show actual printed components.

A few practical
questions.

I know nothing about 3D printing. Where do I start?

Tell us what you want the item to do and who will use it. A photo or rough sketch helps. We can explain the next steps and identify whether design work is needed before anything can be printed.

Do I need a CAD file or an exact drawing?

No file is needed for an initial enquiry. A photo can communicate an idea, but accurate replication may also require dimensions, drawings or a suitable 3D file. Design and file preparation are agreed separately where needed.

Can I order one model or a small batch?

Tell us the quantity you need. We assess one-off models and small batches against the design, available capacity and delivery date, then confirm what we can offer.

How much will it cost, and how long will it take?

Cost depends on design work, size, quantity, material, print time, assembly and finish. Delivery is also considered. Share your target date and destination; we confirm a quotation and timing before you commit.

Can I enquire from outside South Africa?

Yes. International enquiries are welcome. Physical models are made in South Africa; delivery availability, courier charges, transit times and any import responsibilities are confirmed for your destination before an order. Remote design-only work, if agreed, is quoted separately.

What can you print?

We assess suitable plastic models using FDM printing, which builds a shape layer by layer. PETG is one material we use. Size, detail, strength, movement and finish are checked for each project. Tell us if the item must perform a specific function.

How do I send photos or a 3D file?

Use the enquiry helper below to prepare your email, then attach your photos, drawings or files in your email app before sending. You can also email Piet directly at onlinebusiness@zk36business.com.
